Filed under: Uncategorized @ 1:34 pm and

I think that I did an over average job on this project. But i think that if I really tried harder i could have done better. I didnt nessicarily have numerous comments but I did have high quality longer comments than most. Also my colored text was a nice touch too. Thats all i really have to say about my map.

Washington History-Week 1

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 4:43 pm and

In chapter one the thing that’ll ill remember most is the “Mega Flood” video. What I learned from that was that down in south eastern Washington there was a series of gigantic glacial floods. This happened because as the glaciers kept moving and carving out valleys they were moving very slowly. Water eventually built up behind it over hundreds of years, most was rain water. The glacier had already carved out a nice basin behind it making the glacier a perfect dam for a soon to be lake. This was soon filled with millions or billions gallons of water. The glacier had small insignificant cracks but superfreezed pressurized water shot through these cracks. As they did it created friciton which in turn created heat. More and more water shot through all the cracks until eventually all the cracks and the heat added up and the glacier dam broke. Sciencetists named this lake Lake Mesula. All that water shot out of the dam lliek a bullet form a gun. Imagine the sound a waterfall makes, now think of that sound but amplified by about 1000. You would hear it but there would be now possible way to escape it. The debris hit and carved out new hills and left parictular marks. But the potholes were unexplainable. What it really was was the super pressurized bubbles hitting the ground and popping. You may be thinking: what bubbles? damage….. no way. But these bubbles were like the superman of bubbles the pressure released quickly made the potholes. I hope this doesnt happen ever agian. This is what I have remembered from week 1 of washington history.

Reflection

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 6:00 pm and

I felt that this was one of the best papers I’ve written in a long time. If I were to look at previous papers I’ve written for ss they wouldbe probably be pretty bad. I think that I’ll get a good grade because I gave some signifficant information. Also i was organized so it was a lot easier to write and edit my paper. My biggest help was the book we wirte form and some of the activites that we did. I feel that if i can keep this up then i will succeed more often. I dont know what else to say other than that im proud of myself. The first day i wrooked extermely hard but the site earsed all of my work! Never the less i finshed with time to spare adn can say that it was my best. Thats all i have to say at the moment.

Tips for The Arabian Peninsula

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 6:55 pm and

Want to survive comfortably in 600 C.E. on the Arabian Penisula then you need to read this article. First off the desert is extremley hot and cold. So in the summer or day you’ll most likely need the light color and light weight clothing to keep the heat from getting to you. Also it isnt easy to wander around lugging tons of bags and tools around so camels are helpful things to have. They can go for days without nescesties and carry all your needs. There nickname was the ship of the desert. But the Arabian Penisula wasn’t all bad, in fact there were pockets of tropical wonderlands in middles of deserts. Imagine clean, fresh water and lots of amazong fruits and animals to keep you nice and full. I’d suggest becomeing sedantary here where you have many luxuries. Such as the date palm, use this palm to make irrigation pipes to water your crops. Need a sturdy house? Use the date palms leaves and branches to make one. But there’s things you’ll need outside this little wonderland. Use the trade routes freqeuntly to go to market palces to get what you may feel you need.  The coastal palin wasnt to bad either. A nice steady water supply and ports for trade and nesscisties.  Dams are helpful but watch out, if it isnt strong then it could collaspe and flood and peraps kill lots of people. Wells are the safer way to go but may be more dangerous thanks to all the tribes gaurding their wells. Use some rivers to help irrigate your lands. Overall coastal plains could be simple and a nice place to settle down in. The last enviroment is the mountains. Terraces is the survival item that is key here. It stores water on hills and helps expand your land taking advantage of the before unusable land. Build a house with maybe some stones and logs and you’ll be set. Oh the water sources? No problem, 20 inches of rain and riverbeds you’ll be fine. Good luck on this incredible expedition for adventure!

Dear Mom and Dad,

This trimester has gone great. In math I’ve done graphs to some algeabra,  I really like Mrs. Brogden.  Science has been really busy, everyday we usually take notes.  We used to have a rock of the day but now we’ve gone through all the rocks so there’s nothing left to do. One of my favorite experiements was when we put hydraplhoric acid on all the rocks of the Grand Canyon. Social studies was a blast too. My favorite picture was the one of all the skeletons in a war line attacking the regular civilians. It reperesents my favorite catorgory the black death. We also went over rome, the middle ages, europe and many other things. In LA i learned a ton that helped me improve my writing from yellows and reds to organnizing  my paper overlall its been a great trimester!

The Church Poem

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 4:44 pm and

I felt that this was a pretty good assignment. I did best on extra credit by ryhming and doing extra eluminated letters. Some things I’d redo would be some of the poem becasue I feel like I could’ve have given more information. The most helpful tool was the book beacsue it gave me the most information and pictures I needed. Lastly I think Mr. t should not stop doing this because this has been one of my favorite activities so far.
